When my Dad’s health started declining, I didn’t know what to do.  After an emergency room visit and discharge from the hospital, the hospital social workers mentioned the term hospice. I really didn’t know what hospice meant. I thought it was a place. I thought it was about death. Fortunately for my Dad and my family, the staff at Family Comfort Hospice taught me the real meaning of hospice. They showed me that hospice was not about a place and of death, but rather all about the caring people and the comfort provided in my Dad’s remaining days/weeks. The staff were beyond amazing and helped us with literally everything. From getting a hospital bed and equipment in my Dad’s home, to compassionate daily nursing care, to education and acceptance of death, and overall a comfortable way for my Dad to pass on. I would recommend Family Comfort Hospice to any one in need of hospice service. It is never a good time for hospice, but when it is, the staff at Family Comfort Hospice will make it as easy and comfortable as possible. They truly are all about their great people – professional, skilled, caring, and compassionate to the family. I hope it’s a very long time before I need hospice, but when I do, I will not look any further – I will have Family Comfort Hospice take care of me!
